How to reshare your photos on Pinterest!
Let’s create more content!
The beauty of Pinterest is that each piece of content isn’t just for today – it’s FOREVER. The engagement you can get from one single Pinterest post can completely wipe out the Likes you might get on a similar Instagram or Facebook post, and it’s all because of the ability to reshare. After all, resharing content in Pinterest is not the same as just posting a picture again as in many other social platforms.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN:
What is resharing.
Which Pinterest Pins can you reshare.
How to reshare Pinterest Pins.
The trick is in the terminology: resharing vs. reposting.
For all you business creatives out there, great pictures are the staple to a strong profile. Photos are one of the best ways to show potential customers what you can do, and resharing photos makes up an important part of your marketing strategy. After all, there are only so many different photos you can take before you have to start reusing them again, and Pinterest’s new algorithm puts a huge emphasis on posting every single day!
So how do you know which Pins to reshare?
Resharing your content in Pinterest isn’t as simple as just pressing a button and having it pop up all over again. The first thing to do is to jump into your Pinterest analytics and search through your recent posts and work out which ones are best for your Pinterest traffic. Which products or services are snapped up most regularly by Pinterest users? Do you have a specific Pin that links to that popular product? Do you have any posts that get shared a lot by other users?
These are all questions that we should be asking as business creatives, because the more Pinterest fans we can get out hands-on, the better it is for business!
Another thing to look for is seasonality and relevance. Think like a Pinner, and put yourself in your customer’s shoes – when is the best time to post a summer holiday-related pin? Is there really a call for Winter wedding inspiration in August?
Once you’ve decided what to post, you face a few more decisions.
Where should you post your Pin? The answer… everywhere you can. If your Pin relates to ten of your boards, post it to ten of your boards! Remember friends that Pinterest looks at the popularity and value of every single Pin – if it really does match 10 boards, then great! All the more reason for Pinterest to trust it.
Should it always be exactly the same? This one is a little more ambiguous, and as business owners, I’m sure you will agree that constantly resharing your content on Pinterest can lead to a pretty dull profile. That’s where easy updates come in! Whether you opt for new descriptions, new hashtags, or a slightly different look in the images, if the Pin links to the same product it’s a valuable reshare – but it might just lead to a few new followers. After all, one color scheme and certain hashtag may attract one audience, but a slightly altered approach could widen your reach exponentially when resharing photos – and lead to a massive increase in Pinterest and site visitors.
Resharing content in Pinterest is a valuable activity – not just saving you time by recycling existing great content, but also increasing the visibility of those chosen Pins by resharing them in different places.
